I. Turn off the printer

2. Remove any USB cable or other device connected to the printer.
II. Reset the printer
1. Press and hold the “Reset” button on the printer while plugging the power cord back into the printer.
2. The lights on the printer will start blinking indicating the printer is resetting.

III. Restore the printer to the Factory Defaults
1. Press the “Power” button to turn the printer on.

4. Use the navigation buttons to select “Factory Default Settings” and press the “OK” button.

IV. Reload Paper

2. Use the navigation buttons (Up or Down arrows) to select “Load Paper” and press the “OK” button.
3. Use the navigation buttons to select the type of paper you will be loading into the printer and press the “OK” button.
4. Place the paper in the paper tray.
5. Use the navigation buttons to select “OK” and press the “OK” button.
6. The printer will start printing a test page.
V. Check Printer Settings
1. Press the “Menu” button on the printer’s control panel.
2. Use the navigation buttons (Up or Down arrows) to select “Setup” and press the “OK” button.
3. Use the navigation buttons to select “General Settings” and press the “OK” button.
4. Check the settings to make sure they are correct.
5. Use the navigation buttons to select “Done” and press the “OK” button.
6. The printer will return to the printer’s ready state.
VI. Print a Test Page
1.Press the “Power” button to turn the printer on.
2. Press the “Menu” button on the printer’s control panel.
3. Use the navigation buttons (Up or Down arrows) to select “Test Print” and press the “OK” button.
4. Press the “OK” button again to start printing a test page.
5. Once the test page is printed, you have successfully reset the Epson R230 printer to the factory defaults.
