The EPSON R230 printer reset operation consists of two parts: reset procedure 1 and reset procedure 2.
Part 1- Reset Procedure 1
1. Turn off the printer power.
2. Press and hold the Load/Eject and the Cleaning buttons.
3. Turn on the printer power while still holding the two buttons.
4. When Reset appears on the LCD display, release the buttons.
5. The printer will now reset itself.
Part 2- Reset Procedure 2
1. Turn off the printer power.
2. Press and hold the Load/Eject and the Power buttons.

4. When the LCD display shows Service Req, release the buttons.
5. Press the Load/Eject button 4 times.
6. The LCD display shows Counter Reset.
7. Press the Load/Eject button to select Maintenance counter Reset.
8. The LCD display shows it is now ready to reset.
9. Press the Load/Eject button 4 times to reset the printer.
10. The printer will now reset itself and the LCD display will show Ready.
